Liu is born in Neon

The original character Liu, a human-machine hybrid, is born in Neon around 300 for unknown reasons, apparently as the product of something [data deleted].

Given as 'around 300 A.P.' on a user's page about their original characters; the page also says Liu falls into the Mazarine in 773 and is missing.

The Disordered Train whim exists

The level-4 whim Disordered Train comes into being between 360 and 371: a green steam train that wanders between floors and leaves behind many rumours and leaks of burned-book content, together called the Disordered Train incident.

Spans 360 to 371 and the earliest year is used; the page says it was burned in 371, which ended the incident. The Broken Data Research report DOTA-2 instead puts its first appearance around 300.

Community lore

The Disordered Train is book-burned

In 371 A.P., to stop intrusion into the base layer's information, the whim object Disordered Train is burned from the records and the incident ends. It was a level-4 whim that formed between 360 and 371, an old steam locomotive pulling green carriages.

The page states 371 for the burning and says the train formed sometime between 360 and 371. Broken Data Research reports collected in 701 add that a Lotos effect had pulled it into the Endless Sea before the burning.

The Ashen Flower Sea subspace is born

The Ashen Flower Sea is born in 372 A.P., attached deep at the border of Atlas's Endless Sea and Haven, appearing as a fire burning on the seabed. It took shape because the story spread widely in Haven and the Disordered Train incident was not fully erased.

The page dates the birth to 372 and the story it came from to 371.

The Mazarine End swallows the first-generation members

On 29 December 482 the Mazarine End swallows every first-generation member of Broken Data Research; the reborn survivors among the Limbos regain contact over the next two months. The Broken Data Research page describes this as the Daedalus wiping out the Bureau's leads in the most extreme way, with the stolen data, false information and pursuing Bureau agents swallowed and scrambled too; afterwards all the Daedalus but a few Limbos leave the group and its members vanish until 496.

Date from the Arachne page. The Broken Data Research page gives no year and is matched by content (all first-generation members swallowed); it also lists this passage after its paragraph on Arachne's founding in 483, which does not quite fit the Arachne page's 482/12/29. Only the Arachne page says content before 483 comes from data mining and guesses and is not necessarily true; the Broken Data Research page says only that accounts of the group's history are many and hard to verify.

The Wings of Icarus go open source and are burned

In 496 the Limbo awakening tide had grown into a drive to dig up history and memory, and the Wings of Icarus were open-sourced as a protection device aimed at the Mazarine; it logs its users' data and tags the broken data they touch so it can be recovered or used as bait. This phishing and theft was burned at once and most devices and records were destroyed, while Broken Data Research used leftover cache data as beacons to build a second-generation capture technique without the flaw.

The page says the awakening tide that began in 469 had grown by 496 into a drive to dig up history and memory; the 469 tide and the 496 drive are one continuing movement, not a clash.

Building outside the basin is approved and a plain is found beyond it

A request to build a city outside the basin is answered 'granted'; that night the north of the basin is cut open and a plain is found outside. A survey log says the coast-like plain is fit for a city, probably large but not bigger than the Shore basin. Neaswallow is finished the next February.

The applicant's name is left as 'to be added' on the page. The survey log is the Collection entry 'Plain survey #1', collected and surveyed on 566/12/32 01:40. The completion of Neaswallow is a separate event (567/02/14).

Broken Data Research studies Mazarine and “79”

Broken Data Research reports: the Mazarine End may resemble 忘忧宫's defensive wall; Mazarine was part of the Tower's original design but changed before the Ruling Bureau stepped in, and data that enters it is encrypted and exiled to the two layers below. No drone has come back from “79”; some data bound for Mazarine seems to end up in “79”, and data stripped of its beacon is mirrored into Hoodoo's rivers. In log 951, A notices that the Rainbow War crater on the fourth floor matches the shape of a giant whale photographed the moment the border appeared.
