Cutscene

The scene the game plays before this song, in any of its five languages. Nothing plays until you press Play, and sound stays off until you turn it on.

The black hole's attack came without sound.

Gino and Geopelia turned and walked toward the motorcycle. Behind them, in the lightless reaches of space, the black hole's red ring flared to life, and every star began spinning wildly.

Rumble! A gale erupted, mixing with snow into a torrent that swept over the grinding crust.

Caught off guard by the sudden disaster, the two froze for a moment.

Gino sensed something was wrong first, grabbed Geopelia's hand, and charged ahead.

Gino: Go!

The wind made it impossible for Geopelia to open her eyes. Half running, half dragged, she stumbled on. The pages of the notebook in her arms rustled loudly;

weathered by the wind, the clasp aged and snapped, and the pages flew away. Geopelia instinctively looked back after them.

Close to the edge of the vault, that building collapsed further in the earthquake, waves crashed - a starry fluid rising higher, and higher.

The earth shattered, mountain peaks split apart, and falling rocks kicked up clouds of dust.

Cracks spread rapidly, nearly nipping at Geopelia's heels. The earthquake reshaped the terrain,

and a sheet of black water cut between them and the motorcycle. Without a word, the two leapt, one after the other.

Gravity from the sky surged. Before she could land, Geopelia was lifted into the air.

Panicked, she flailed - until Gino grabbed the motorcycle with one hand, clinging to balance by a thread.

Gino: Our turn!

Geopelia: But... I don't want to be separated from you, Gino!

Gino: Time to wake up! Let's go! -

The black hole will show you the past - isn't that what you wanted to know, Geopelia -

Peregrinus's trail - who you really are -

once you leave the Pixel Tower - every mystery will be solved!

Geopelia: Then what about you, Gino -

back in reality - will I still be able to find you -

Gino: I'll find you!
